The Hand Project

We at FirstRate Charity Foundation are aware of the inconveniences associated with losing a limb. Especially when one is not able to perform tasks he or she used to do and how frustrating it can be. Hence, THE HAND PROJECT where upper limb amputees get the chance of having artificial hands that will aid them in their various activities such as sweeping, eating and writing with the artificial hand. The project since its initiation in 2021 has provided over 500 upper limb amputees with a free prosthetic hand. With partnership with Give Dignity, the hand project has been extended to our sister foundations in Uganda and Liberia. Fitting events are done across the country where hands are fabricated on the same day.
